Robert Holloway is a veteran of the security and law enforcement industry, where he has extensive operational security experience on an international, federal, and local level. His experience has blended a local law enforcement career with a federal security/investigation profession. Mr. Holloway holds a US government Top Secret Security Clearance with polygraph. Mr. Holloway began his US Secret Service (USSS) career in 1998 as a Special Agent in the Tampa Field Office, where he conducted cyber-enabled financial crimes investigations and served as a protection shift member for then Vice-presidential candidate Richard “Dick” Cheney during the contested 2000 Presidential campaign. In 2001, Mr. Holloway transferred to Washington, DC to Former President Clinton Protective Detail where he served as a member/shift leader for then Senator Hillary Clinton on Capitol Hill. During this time, he conducted detailed international security planning “advances” for both Senator Clinton and Former President Clinton. Mr. Holloway then transferred to the Presidential Protective Division (PPD) where he served on President George W. Bush’s detail from 2004-2008. In this capacity, he served as a shift member, continued conducting detailed domestic/international security planning “advances” in various leadership roles, and was the Team Leader in the White House Security Branch which oversees all visitors and security arrangements including special events that occur on the 18 acres facility.
In 2008, Mr. Holloway then transferred to the US Secret Service Rowley training facility located in Beltsville, MD where he was a Protective Detail Training (PDT) instructor that taught tactics/theory to new Special Agents joining the President and Vice-presidential protection details. He also served as the Operations Special Agent that coordinates all training/events that occur at the 600-acre facility from 2009-2011. In 2011, Mr. Holloway transferred to the US Secret Service’s largest field office in Washington, DC and worked in protective intelligence and then served as a team leader in the Protection squad that oversaw all operational coordination for USSS protectees in the National Capitol Region. Additionally, Mr. Holloway was the lead intelligence Special Agent for the 2013 Presidential Inauguration. Mr. Holloway was then promoted in 2014 to the USSS Office of Chief Information Officer where he served in the capacity of the IT Coordinator, primary liaison, and project manager for major events, including the 2016 Republican National Convention (RNC) and the 58TH Presidential Inauguration. Following his time in Washington DC, Mr. Holloway became the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Secret Service’s Birmingham Field Office in 2017. In this capacity, he supported regional protective missions and partnered with federal, state and local law enforcement, academia and private industry partners to proactively address and mitigate emerging cyber enabled financial threats occurring in the states of Alabama and Mississippi. Mr. Holloway retired in 2019 as the Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Birmingham Field Office and is currently serving as a Special Agent (Annuitant) performing protection support duties at various US based locations.
